The Less Told Tale of Never Never Land
Never Never Land was a most accessible place, situated in the woods right next to Fort Nisqually, where young and young-at-heart could equally touch and feel what they could otherwise only imagine. You could park right in the lot between the two attractions and make a whole day of going from the old fort to appreciate one kind of history to Never Never Land where quite a contrasting set of stories were told.
But the fact that Never Never Land was considered nothing more than an amusement is what is so amusing in and of itself. Certainly, you’ll hear about a French designer, a Hungarian sculptor, and a Canadian operator who brought it all to life.
Bah! That’s all just a cover, my friends. The citizens of Never Never Land loved nothing more than foolery, and their bluff worked! They had practically every Tacoman fooled into thinking it was a theme park for celebrating nursery tales, and maybe the few Tacomans who do remember its true tale have been pleased to let the bluff go as long as possible so not to spoil the joke.
